Joel Pagán
Band Director

Joel Pagán attended Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education. He received his Master of Music Education Degree from the Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. He is currently the Director of Bands at Sebastian River High School where he conducts the Wind Symphony, Marching Sharks, Jazz Band, and Caribbean Steel Drum Band.  Mr. Pagán is also the Countywide Coordinator of Bands and oversees all of the band programs in North Indian River County.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Pagán was the associate director of bands at Sebastian River High School, and director of bands at both LaBelle High School in LaBelle, FL and Ida S. Baker High School in Cape Coral, FL. He holds professional memberships in the Music Educators National Conference, Florida Music Educators Association, Florida Bandmasters Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, and Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society. He also served as the District 18 Chairman for the Florida Bandmasters Association.

Mr. Pagán resides in Sebastian with his wife Christy, and his two sons Noah and Caleb.

Sara DiPardo
Assistant Band Director

Mrs. DiPardo is from Vero Beach, Florida where she graduated from Vero Beach High School. Mrs. DiPardo went on to earn a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from The Florida State University's College of Music. Mrs. DiPardo is currently pursuing a Masters of Music Education at Florida State University during the summer and has a proposed graduation of August 2012.

Prior to her current appointment, Mrs. DiPardo was the director of bands from 2007-2011 at Bell Middle/High School in Bell, Fl. During which time she taught middle school band, high school symphonic band, marching band, as well as starting the first jazz band and on stage marching band. Mrs. DiPardo holds professional memberships in Florida Music Educators Association, Florida Bandmasters Association and National Band Directors Association

Mrs. DiPardo resides in Sebastian with her husband Mike and three dogs, Ginger, Hazel & Macho.

Jenae Jordan
Guard Instructor

Mrs. Jordan first began her color guard career in the year 2000 at SRHS where she took on leadership roles and then graduated with an IB Diploma in 2004.

She attended The Florida State University from 2004 to 2008 and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Merchandising. While attending FSU, Mrs. Jordan was a member of the prestigious and renowned Marching Chiefs. She was a member of their flag line and leadership staff, and became Captain during her senior year.

Mrs. Jordan has also been a camp instructor for the Marching Sharks since 2006. In 2008, she became a full time staff member for the Marching Sharks' marching season, which led her to accept the Flag Instructor position in the spring of 2009.

Currently, Mrs. Jordan is working on her receiving her teaching certificate in secondary math education.

Kevin Miller
Brass Instructor

Kevin Miller has been playing the trombone and euphonium professionally since high school. Starting at the age of fifteen, he toured the state of Florida as a member of the Sunday Brass and regularly performed with local swing and dance bands. He then went on to study trombone and euphonium performance at the University of Central Florida under Mr. Roy Pickering. In Orlando, Kevin had the opportunity to perform alongside such jazz legends as Arturo Sandoval, Terry Gibbs, James Moody, Ralph Bowen, Michael Philip Mossman, and Rick Baptist. Also while in Orlando, Kevin worked as a freelance artist in multiple musical styles including swing, salsa, classical, and pop/rock and was a frequent clinician for high school and middle school students. Kevin also toured the country as a trombonist with the GMA Dove award-winning group TRUTH in the late nineties. From there, he went on to serve as Music Director at area churches and was regularly invited as a guest conductor and performer at local music events and festivals. Kevin has also been on staff as a Brass Instructor at Sebastian River High School since 2003. Currently, he teaches private lessons in Indian River county and performs in several local professional music groups including The Central Florida Wind Symphony, The Space Coast Jazz All-Stars, The Space Coast Symphony Brass Ensemble, and the Treasure Coast Brass Trio.
