Joel Pagán
Band Director
Joel Pagán attended Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education. He received his Master of Music Education Degree from the Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. He is currently the Director of Bands at Sebastian River High School where he conducts the Wind Symphony, Marching Sharks, Jazz Band, and Caribbean Steel Drum Band. Mr. Pagán is also the Countywide Coordinator of Bands and oversees all of the band programs in North Indian River County.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Pagán was the associate director of bands at Sebastian River High School, and director of bands at both LaBelle High School in LaBelle, FL and Ida S. Baker High School in Cape Coral, FL. He holds professional memberships in the Music Educators National Conference, Florida Music Educators Association, Florida Bandmasters Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, and Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society. He also served as the District 18 Chairman for the Florida Bandmasters Association.
Mr. Pagán resides in Sebastian with his wife Christy, and his two sons Noah and Caleb.
