Joel Pagán
Band Director

Joel Pagán attended Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education. He received his Master of Music Education Degree from the Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. He is currently the Director of Bands at Sebastian River High School where he conducts the Wind Symphony, Marching Sharks, Jazz Band, and Caribbean Steel Drum Band.  Mr. Pagán is also the Countywide Coordinator of Bands and oversees all of the band programs in North Indian River County.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Pagán was the associate director of bands at Sebastian River High School, and director of bands at both LaBelle High School in LaBelle, FL and Ida S. Baker High School in Cape Coral, FL. He holds professional memberships in the Music Educators National Conference, Florida Music Educators Association, Florida Bandmasters Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, and Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society. He also served as the District 18 Chairman for the Florida Bandmasters Association.

Abby Rahn
Assistant Band Director

Abby Rahn received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the University of Michigan in 2003, where she was a member of both the oboe studio, the hockey band, and the Michigan Marching Band. She received her Master of Music degree in Wind Band Conducting at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2009,  where she studied with Dr. Carolyn Barber and served as a Band Graduate Teaching Assistant, allowing her to work with the Cornhusker Marching Band and Big Red Express athletic bands. She has an additional Master of Music degree in Music Education in progress from the University of Michigan.

Prior to arriving at Sebastian River High School Miss Rahn taught for several years near her hometown in Fairfax County, Virginia, during which time she was also on the visual staff for multiple high school marching bands, the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, and the Reading Buccaneers Senior Drum and Bugle Corps. She is an alumna of the Crossmen, having marched in the mellophone line from 1999-2003.

Miss Rahn is a member of the National Association for Music Education (MENC), Florida Music Educators Association, Florida Bandmasters Association, Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, and the National Band Association.

Jenae Jordan
Guard Instructor

Mrs. Jordan first began her color guard career in the year 2000 at SRHS where she took on leadership roles and then graduated with an IB Diploma in 2004.

She attended The Florida State University from 2004 to 2008 and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Merchandising. While attending FSU, Mrs. Jordan was a member of the prestigious and renowned Marching Chiefs. She was a member of their flag line and leadership staff, and became Captain during her senior year.

Mrs. Jordan has also been a camp instructor for the Marching Sharks since 2006. In 2008, she became a full time staff member for the Marching Sharks' marching season, which led her to accept the Flag Instructor position in the spring of 2009.

Currently, Mrs. Jordan is working on her receiving her teaching certificate in secondary math education.
