The Sebastian River High School Wind Symphony began as a smaller wind ensemble with one musician on each part. It was recently renamed Wind Symphony as the ensemble has grown to 67 members. The ensemble has received straight Superior ratings at all festivals under the baton of Mr. Eric Allen. The ensemble prides itself in performing significant literature from many genres and style periods. The wind Symphony has performed at the University of Florida Concert Band Invitational, The Stetson University Concert Band Invitational, two times at The Bands of America National Concert Band Festival at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, The Midwest Clinic, an international Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago, Illinois, most recently at the Florida Music Educators Association in Tampa, Florida and at the College Band Directors National Association, Southern Division in Columbus, Georgia and other festivals in New York City, Boston, Atlanta and Nashville.
