The Marching Sharks

The Marching Sharks include all students of the Sebastian River High School band program. The 275 member marching band performs at halftime and in the stands for all home varsity football games, pep rallies, parades, and in other community events throughout the year. The Marching Sharks serves as a way to unite all members of the SRHS Band program to produce a halftime show that contrasts to the contemporary “Pride of Sebastian River” marching band. The Marching Sharks rehearse on Friday afternoons before home football games and will have a few rehearsals during our summer band camp. They have participated in major parades across the country, most recently being invited to march in the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade in 2019. The Marching Sharks provide school and community spirit as they consistently achieve high levels of performance. We are the heartbeat of Sebastian!

The Pride of Sebastian river

The Pride of Sebastian River is a “state of the art” competitive marching band. It seeks to explore the highest levels of competitive marching arts through design and performance. Members of this ensemble audition for placement with the majority of the students being from the Wind Ensemble and the Wind Symphony. The Pride of Sebastian River performs at halftime of all home varsity football games and several marching band competitions throughout the fall. The Pride rehearses on Tuesdays and and Thursdays in the fall semester from 6:00-9:00 pm. We also have a two week band camp that begins three weeks before school begins. Students in the Pride of SR are also members of the Marching Sharks and perform at all football games, pep rallies, and away pep band trips.
